Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Vartix ("we", "us") collects when you use the Vartix app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Vartix is operated from Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, India.

1. Information we collect

• Account: your phone number, name, profile photo, username and "About" text. Email address only if you add one.
• Contacts: if you allow it, phone numbers from your address book are checked to show which contacts use Vartix. We do not sell or share your contacts.
• Messages and media: messages, photos, videos, voice notes, documents and status you send are stored on our servers so they can be delivered and synced across your devices. Chats with end-to-end encryption turned on can only be read on the devices in that chat.
• Calls: call details (who, when, how long). Audio and video are not recorded by us.
• Device and usage: device model, OS version, app version, notification token, crash and performance reports, and approximate activity times.
• Location: only when you choose to share a location in a chat.

2. How we use information

• To provide messaging, calls, groups, channels, status and notifications.
• To keep accounts safe, prevent spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To fix bugs and improve performance.
• To send account notices such as verification codes and security alerts.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run Vartix (cloud database and storage, push notifications, crash reporting, SMS/WhatsApp verification, email delivery), under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.

4. Your controls

• Privacy settings for last seen, profile photo, about, status and groups.
• Block and report users. Mute or archive chats.
• Delete messages for everyone, disappearing messages, view once media.
• Delete your account any time from the app, or see Delete account.

5. Retention

Messages stay until you or the other person delete them, or until your account is deleted. Status disappears after 24 hours. Crash and performance reports are kept for up to 30 days.

6. Children

Vartix is not meant for children under 13. If we learn an account belongs to a child under 13, we will remove it.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls on our database, and optional end-to-end encryption for chats. No system is completely secure, so please keep your phone and account protected.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. We will show the new date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
